Blake Lively in talks to star in shark-thriller 'In The Deep'

Los Angeles: Actress Blake Lively is in discussions to star in Columbia's shark thriller "In the Deep".
The movie is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who last helmed Liam Neeson-Ed Harris starrer "Run All Night", said The Hollywood Reporter.

"In The Deep", written by Anthony Jaswinski, centres on a young woman (Lively) dealing with the loss her mother, surfing in an isolated area when she gets stranded on a buoy.

Things take a turn for the worse, when a gigantic great white shark comes between her and the shore.

The 27-year-old actress currently has a scheduling conflict with filmmaker Woody Allen's latest untitled movie and it is unclear whether she will be able to do both the films.

The actress starred in this year's romantic drama "Age of Adaline" with Harrison Ford. She is now shooting "All I See Is You", a Marc Forster drama which also stars Jason Clarke.

Kristen Stewart won't discuss sexuality

Los Angeles: "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart says she does not think it would be "true to her" to discuss her sexuality.
The 25-year-old actress, who previously dated Robert Pattinson and is rumoured to be in a relationship with visual effects producer Alicia Cargile, prefers to be ambiguous because she feels her personal life is not relevant to her career, reported Us magazine. "Google me, I'm not hiding," she said on the matter of her sexual preferences.

"I think in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don't think it's necessary to figure out if you're gay or straight. It's like, just do your thing," she added.

The former child actress went on to expand on how she views herself in a society obsessed with labels and definitions.


"If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it," she said.

"But I am an actress, man. I live in the ambiguity of this life and I love it. I don't feel like it would be true for me to be like, 'I'm coming out!' No, I do a job. Until I decide that I'm starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving... I don't. I'm just a kid making movies."

Salma Hayek gets restraining orders against two women

New York: Actress Salma Hayek has been granted restraining orders against two women, who allegedly threatened to kidnap her seven-year-old daughter.


The 48-year-old actress has secured temporary protection orders against Liana Philippon and Odette Bodagh in a Los Angeles court.

Hayek said they impersonated her around the town in a bid to get close and possibly kidnap daughter Valentina, reported the New York Daily News.

According to a court filing, Liana and Odette impersonated Salma in conversations, which "give the appearance that they believe that they are friends with Hayek despite never meeting her."

Both women have been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the brunette beauty, her French businessman husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, and Valentina.
They are banned from any communication with the actress' family.

Olivia Wilde's career started with divorce

London: Olivia Wilde felt comfortable with herself when she got divorced at the age of 27.
The 30-year-old actress - who has 16-month-old son Otis with fiance Jason Sudeikis, 39 - said she finally learned to accept herself after her eight-year marriage to Tao Ruspoli ended, reported Contactmusic.

Asked if she had a point where she realised she didn't care about other people's opinions, she said, "I was 27. I got a divorce, and I felt like I finally started my career. I started making movies and projects that I just really believed in.

"I remember a good friend saying to me, now isn't it relaxing that you don't have to be perfect? And I thought, that is something that happens for everyone, not just for professionals. At the end of your twenties, you realise you are inherently flawed, and that's great, and that's what makes you dynamic."

Zendaya hits back at Twitter trolls against parents

Model-actress Zendaya Coleman says she would "pray" for those people, who called her parents "ugly" on micro-blogging site Twitter.


The 18-year-old Disney starlet was left shocked after people made disparaging remarks about the appearance of her mother Claire Stoermer and father Kazembe Ajamu and in response she wrote a heartfelt message about how proud she is of her family, reported Female First.

One Twitter user originally shared a picture of the star with her parents and wrote, "they made a gorgeous ass child lol (sic)" and another replied saying: "her parents really ugly I really would cry (sic)."


Zendaya tweeted, "First I'm gonna pray for you. While you're so concerned about what my parents look like, please know that these are two of the most selfless people in the world.

"They have chosen to spend their entire life, not worried about trivial things such as looks and insulting people's parents on Twitter, but instead became educators who have dedicated their lives to teaching, cultivating and filling young shallow mind (one of the most important yet underpaid jobs we have).

I don't miss Hollywood life: Nicole Kidman

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, who lives in Nashville with family, says she does not miss "the Hollywood life" because she has never been interested in fame.


The "Paddington" star moved to Nashville with husband Keith Urban, with whom she has two children, Faith, four and Sunday, seven, nine years ago and the actress said she has never looked back since, reported Female First.

"I don't miss the Hollywood life, definitely not. But I don't think I've ever been a part of that. I still put on a gown and go on the red carpet, and that's when you're all for a moment circling each other, and I know all those people.

"If you're committed to a fame path that's a whole different thing. But for me that's almost like the burden that comes with it. I don't say that complaining, but that's the part that's work so I can do the thing I love."

The 48-year-old actress also said she has not always felt like she "fitted in" with those in Hollywood as she is "a bit of an outsider".

Father's near death experience made me positive: Gina

London: Actress Gina Rodriguez says her father's near-to-death experience when she was just a teenager taught her to stay positive and chase her dreams.

The 31-year-old "Jane The Virgin" star was just 15-year-old, when Genaro nearly died after finding himself involved in a nasty car crash, and whilst he has made a full recovery, his close call had a lasting effect on her attitude towards life, reported Female First.

"My father got into a terrible car accident. The car was like an accordion, it was so smashed. They were totally sure we were going to lose him.

"Then he started making me look in the passenger-side mirror every day and say, 'Today's going to be a great day. I can and I will.' At the time, I thought it was so lame. The worst! But he wouldn't let me out of the car until I did it. What I came to realise is that there is no better way to live than the way that man lives."

The actress said her dreams have only got bigger as her career progressed. "And I want to be a superhero. I want to be an X-Man. Talk about Storm ... I want to create a storm! My dreams keep getting bigger. I don't expect them to happen tomorrow. But I believe they'll happen before I'm done.

"I think you must believe something can happen in order for it to happen. I definitely always believed I was capable of doing all this, as long as I didn't stop trying," she said.

I'm so scared to say anything now: Jennifer Lawrence

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she has grown more cautious over the years.
Lawrence, 25, who generally does not really care what people or the press think about her, said she is now "scared" to say anything for fear it gets taken the wrong way. "I'm so scared to say anything now. I can see every negative way that people can take it, and I don't want to sound like I'm complaining.

"Oh, she's so conceited now. Oh, she's so jaded now. It probably comes from Googling myself. If it were up to me, I would not talk. I would just act," she said.


The actress is currently promoting the final film in "The Hunger Games" franchise, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay  Part 2", in which she stars as Katniss Everdeen. The film will release on November 20, 2015.

Kate Winslet narrates anti-bullying animated short film

The 40-year-old has admitted that bullies made fun of her appearance while growing up. As an adult, the actress has cultivated a positive body image and made it her mission to help others build self-confidence.

So when it came time for writer-director Galvin Scott Davis to cast the voice of the lead character in his new animated short about bullying, Winslet was an obvious choice, reports people.com.

"Daisy Chain" is a story about a young girl who is bullied, and through the help of a friend she learns to create a "daisy chain" so strong that even her bullies can't break it down.


The five-minute video with hand-drawn animation was inspired by Davis's 9-year-old son, who came home from school and confided in his father about being picked on by a peer.

Instead of simply talking to his son, Davis decided to take action. He encouraged his son and the bully to work on a series of comic books together that would later become Daisy Chain.

Along with the short film, "Daisy Chain" is also an illustrated book, an App and character figurines.

Jennifer Lawrence comes clean on her sanitary habits

It seems like Jennifer Lawrence's joke of not washing her hands after using toilet was taken too seriously by her fans, as she has to clarify that she does wash her hands.


It all started during the 25-year-old actress' interview with MTV's "After Hours when she was asked to reveal her most disgusting habit, E! Online reports.

'The Hunger Games' star said she doesn't wash her hands after using bathroom, adding that she likes to put her unwashed hands all over her face.

Later, the actress shared a video poking fun of herself with fans on Facebook.


The video showed when Lawrence decided to clean her hands, an unknown female told her that she was actually using a bidet.

She added, "That's not a toilet?" she asked. "Oh, well I don't need to wash my hands. Zing!"

Putting jokes aside, the actress assured her fans that she does wash her hands after using toilet.

'Criminal Minds' star Kirsten Vangsness gets engaged

Washington D.C: ' Criminal Minds' star Kirsten Vangsness has got engaged with actor/writer Keith Hanson and expressed her love for him stating he's the perfect partner for her.


The 43-year-old actress said after getting engaged that when someone is so much into other person, he/she gets to just mush up next to his/her subsequent other and that's the best part of it, People Magazine reported.

Never been offered a Bollywood film: Nicole Kidman

New Delhi: Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman fell in love with Indian movies while working on Baz Luhrmann's musical "Moulin Rouge!", which was inspired by Bollywood dramas.


"I have never been offered," Kidman said when asked whether she would like to do a Bollywood movie.

"We stole a lot from Bollywood on 'Moulin Rouge!' I watched a lot of Bollywood films when we did 'Moulin Rouge!'. I remember Baz Luhrmann would screen all these Bollywood films and that's when I fell in love with them. We tried to do a little bit of it in the movie but it is very hard. It is an incredibly hard art form to emulate," Kidman said during a session at Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2015 here.

Kidman, 48, played the role of a terminally ill cabaret actress and courtesan in the 2001 Oscar nominated movie.

Kidman feels Bollywood should not lose its uniqueness by emulating Hollywood movies.

"I don't know why as a country you would want to emulate Hollywood. It is very important culturally for countries to maintain their identity through their art. You can go and see a Hollywood movie but the most important thing is to make movies that are your own, that represent you and the power of your culture."

Though she is not working in a Bollywood movie, the actress is a part of a film, which is partially set in Kolkata. The movie is titled "Lion" and also stars Dev Patel.

"Half of the film is set in Calcutta and the other half in Tasmania, which is small island in the tip of Australia. Tasmania is very beautiful. The film is about a young boy, who is actually from

Calcutta and adopted by an Australian woman. It's an emotional story about finding his birth mother."

I have a traditional family: Sandra Bullock

Bullock, 51, opened up for the first time about fostering and adopting her three-year-old daughter, Laila, reported People magazine.

"I have no idea what a 'traditional family' looks like anymore. If a traditional home is one that is filled with lots of love and poop jokes, no sleep, schedule books filled with more kids' social events than adults' and lots of yelling over who touched who first... Then I have a very traditional family," she said.
